Tips if you’re using a Windows computer

Download screen readers

NVDA is a free and open-source screen reader for Microsoft Windows operating systems. For more information or to download the screen reader, go to nvda-project.orgopens in a new tab

Zoom in or out in a browser window

Start by holding 'CTRL' then:

  • Zoom in by pressing '+'
  • Zoom out by pressing '-'

Zoom in or out of your whole screen

Go to 'Start', then 'Settings' and select 'Magnifier'.

Change all font sizes

Go to 'Start', then 'Settings' and select 'Magnifier'.

Change colour and contrast settings

Go to 'Start', then 'Settings' and select 'Ease of access' where there’s a slider that changes the brightness of the screen.

Download screen readers
